Why on earth did Honda not bring these bikes into the UK? It’s like France omitting to export wine or Australia not sending over any bartenders. FTR’s are fantastic.

The four stroke, single cylinder SOHC delivers 19HP through the 5 speed transmission – but if you’re just looking at the numbers you’re missing the two main points of these wonderful machines. First, the build quality is second to none which provides a super-smooth ride; second, they look the business. Honda have come up with a really elegant design. There’s plenty more I could say – the power is plenty for its light weight; it’s fun; the seat is low enough for shorter riders but not so low that taller riders are looking over the handlebars from between their knees.  .  .  But I won’t.

I’ll just mention that this is a 2003 model in deep red. It has after-market Coerce pegs on which are higher and further back than standard pegs giving a more racing seating position. It also has engine guards and a Kitaco sprocket guards. It has knuckle guards, decal on top of the tank and a large rear carrier. The overall condition is exceptional. The paint, in particular, is stunning. Not only is the colour beautiful, the quality of paint used really stands out.
